You Take Away Slowly

Whistle hiss spitting
Around the clock,

Hot fingered sitars,
An elephant’s lower leg
Turning against
The neon squares,

Casually calved
Into shiny fatted strips
Of moonlight meat,

You move slowly
In a speeded up world.

Saliva tongue strutting,
A pouting sanskrit sigh
Dragging the night,

A gently knotted flesh twig
Greasy rolling
In the flames,

Squirting belches of fat,
Tears from the lamb smoke,
The glimmer of steel,

You see detail
In a bleary eyed world.
