Winter Crow

Watch the
Winter crow
Perch,
Watch it
Rest in the tree,

A black heart
Beating
In a
Skeleton chest.

Hear it
Bark like
Its singing
With its
Guttural call,

A death crept
Slowly
From an
Echoing hall.
