We are Living for Weekends

The pendulum swings heavy,
You’re invisible,
A week seems like a lifetime.

Chicken chatters in the pan,
The radio seeps,
All the memories smile.

Even distance has answers,
Thoughts can be golden,
We have journeys of laughter.

This absence gifts us daydreams,
Patience is vital,
We are living for weekends.
