Lying on earth and waiting
For something to change

Just because it smells rancid
Doesn’t mean it’s bad for you.
Trust your friends,
You call them friends
Because there’s no-one else.
Trust time,
It heals
But lets memories die,
And trust your family,
They want you
To make a success of your life,
Then visit them occasionally
And thank them.

Glass stares and parasite smiles,
The peripheries.
You’re vile like hot tar,
You’re municipal grim ghosts
Raping the almost,
Your words carry scents,
Practised lies and old pie charts,
We hate you and pray.

Living with few,
Indifference laps at your feet
And chips at your pride,
Riddled hatred
Smashes you back
And muffles your cries,
Until loneliness beckons
And hollows your bones.
You are something else,
No,
Really you are.
