The Why Daddy

Your life is
Greased tupperware,
Bent chicken wire,
A tick out of time,
More a swipe.

Your ambition is
A wheelbarrow,
A constant camel,
The old kitchen cabinet
Your granny stacked high.

Your dreams are
Dank disappointments,
Stuttered lights on a highway,
A source of excuses
In a wet muddy pit,

And the dangerous things
You achieve in the darkness
Seem attractive
To idiots
And rogues.

Your rhetoric
Prises war wounds,
Gets high on blame and fear,
In the bellies of your many beasts
Swim streams of bitter tears.

You are often “dark.” But I think “dark” is a great way to get rid of the bad memories and demons. I do it myself. And, to expose the world to what many ignore, trying to be in their “all is roses” world.

  2. I definitely like exploring murkiness. This one’s a bit of an experiment.
