Circling Charm

He sang the birds down from the trees
And all they did was peck his head,

He never asked questions
but always found answers
Like a gravedigger chipping at rocks,

And his grace always smelt of surprise
Like a tedious shock in the night.

If you welcomed him slowly
He would jump on your words,

He was a ring road
Circling charm.
